Who We Are

V4Peru (Voices4Peru) formed in August of 2008, is a partner NGO with Truth In Christ Ministries,

History

Truth in Christ Ministries Incorporated (TICM) is a growing non-profit tax exempt Christian ministry that was incorporated in October 2000. It is formally recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt organization and contributions are tax deductible.

The Board of Directors is comprised of 21 people who know it’s founder, Daniel Klopp in a variety of capacities (friend, church member, family, and ministry contacts). This ministry is totally dependent on financial contributions of supporters; friends of the ministry, Daniel’s home church, and organizations with similar goals and purposes support it financially and prayerfully. Purpose Statement from Articles of Incorporation is as follows:

To encourage individuals and groups to live life in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and in accordance with His teachings.

To be an organization providing a Christ centered source of encouragement to people desiring spiritual renewal and provide training for them in application of Biblical truths to daily living.
To encourage people to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to take active roles in local churches.

To cooperate with or participate in ministry with one or more other non-profit corporations and organizations having one or more purposes or activities similar to those of this corporation.
The primary methods of accomplishing the above purposes will include, but not be limited to, leading and assisting with Christ centered worship, spiritual renewal, and prayer services at Christian churches, camps, and retreat centers.

To provide required resources and training for people who desire to participate in ministries of Truth In Christ Ministries, Inc. or organizations with purposes similar to those stated above.
TICM desires that people find comfort, hope, peace, love, and freedom in the Lord Jesus Christ and serves the body of Christ in the above ways wherever requested if resources of time and money allow it. The ministry began out of the dream and vision that Daniel Klopp, TICM’s Executive Director and Director of Ministries, had in 2000 of how God could enable him to the answer the call for his assistance with youth leadership in Christian camps in Australia and Peru. Formation of TICM and responses to these requests subsequently led to requests for his leadership in camps and other forms of Christian outreach in other countries
In the late 1990’s, while majoring in social work at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Daniel served in roles as youth leader and speaker in Christian camps in North America. After ministering in this way for a period of time, he received an invitation to provide youth leadership in camps in Australia; however, raising funds for that trip was difficult. Subsequent invitations to minister in Australia and Peru led to formation of TICM to provide a tax exempt manner to raise funds to allow him to expand the area of ministry to these countries.

In January 2001, the ministry of TICM began with a trip by Daniel to Peru where he served for two months in various leadership roles in Christian camps and other forms of outreach to youth.
By 2004, TICM had provided ministry in Australia, Fiji, Tonga, United States, Canada, Kenya, Peru, and Chile and scope of the ministry had expanded beyond camp leadership to: ministering in churches, retreats, orphanages, youth leadership training and mentoring programs, and many informal gatherings, prayer groups and one-on-one settings, assisting in the birthing, nurturing, and continual growth of prayer groups in Ventanilla, Lima, and assisting with starting of new Christian camps in the regions of Iquitos and Pucallpa, Peru. Another outreach of TICM in recent years in Peru was discipleship and development of Christian youth leaders by providing financial assistance to young people who desire to attend Christian camps in which TICM was involved.

Present

At present, TICM Executive Director, Daniel Klopp and his wife Narelle, are living, working and ministering in Australia; they are also doing fundraising and laying groundwork for future ministry activities in Peru.

In Summer 2009, Daniel and Narelle spent eight and six weeks in Peru; primary focus of ministry was partnering with a local Peruvian couple to share Christ’s message of love and salvation in Lomas, an extremely impoverished community a few miles from Lima, and establish a formal ministry base there. An important part of this ministry time involved a 10-day visit by a mission team from the U.S. Response of the Lomas community to the ministry of TICM was very positive with over 100 people participating in a spiritual renewal program following this period of ministry. Plans were made for future TICM ministry activities in Lomas.

In April of 2009, TICM and Voices 4 Peru sponsored a large Christian concert in Ventanilla. Hundreds of people turned out for the event. Teams from America and Australia participated in sport and Christian based camps in Ventanilla. Current and ongoing ministry and activity includes weekly church held in a Worship Center, 3 weekly bible studies held in worship center, two soccer teams, and community based Christian events structured around building unity and relationships. Daniel, Luis, and Rosa have implemented a Christian counseling program in the region. A Christian psychologist works on the hill three days a week, reaching out to children and families.

Future

Our primary ministry plans for 2009 are to build on working relationships developed with the people of Lomas in 2008 and provide more opportunities for spiritual renewal and growth for children, youth and adults This outreach will involve visits by several mission teams from Australia and the U.S. to assist in the outreach to this community. A Christian retreat is planned for November, 2009. Another Christian concert is scheduled for December 2009. Ongoing management of soccer team, expansion of church plant, and development of Christian counseling services are on the horizon for TICM & V4Peru.

Long-range vision for 2010 and beyond is to develop a solid core of local Christian leaders in Lomas and establish a ministry center in the Lomas area that can be a base for a variety of Christ centered ministry and outreach programs. Ongoing program development and facilitation continues on the hill with growth into other areas of Ventanilla and Lima.

We welcome your prayers and financial support for this on-going ministry.
